#SpringIntoHome Tour: Claire Staszak

Up next on our home tour is Claire Staszak! She’s been documenting the renovation of the 1932 Tudor bungalow (a project nicknamed “The Warwick Reno”) she and her husband moved into exactly one year ago on her blog, Centered by Design. You’ll quickly see it’s no wonder her home was even featured in the Chicago Tribune. She’s an interior designer, yoga teacher, and an all around delight – so excited she’s sharing her home with us this week!

The house has so much character with its glass doorknobs, coved ceilings, stained glass windows, and arched doorways. Claire has styled the home so perfectly, mixing the home’s vintage charm with her own organic style.

She’s a self-proclaimed color addict, but because they get precious little natural light she gave the home a more white, neutral palette to lighten the place up, and pulled soft greens, blues, and blushes from the stained glass windows. And just look how gorgeous it turned out!

Claire incorporated vintage pieces throughout the home, like a black and brass curio wall cabinet that’s now part of the bar in their dining room – love!

They ripped up three layers of linoleum and found hiding underneath the gorgeous original rustic pine floors.

The pine floors continue into the kitchen, where they also added butcher-block countertops and brass hardware. I love the high-contrast styling with the dark wood and black cabinets, it works so well!

The kitchen also features another great vintage piece: glass cabinets, that were apparently super hard to find but were, clearly, totally worth the patience!

I love their mudroom off the kitchen – they put a fun tile on the floor, painted it a fresh white, and decorated with a rustic bench and coat rack.

Their bedroom is currently under reno, so Claire and her husband have been staying in their guest bedroom. I love that her bohemian vibe comes out more in this room, and I’m glad the color-addict side of her got to decorate a room!

I’m in love with Claire’s home office and the DIY standing desk her husband helped make. It looks like such a great place to get work done!

Pretty stunning, right? They’re still working on a few rooms, which will undoubtedly be as amazing as the rest of the home has turned out. Be sure to follow along for more reveals on her insta and blog.

Make sure to check back in next week, as the next stop on our #SpringIntoHome Tour is the lovely Meredith of View from my Heels!

XO,

Doreen
